The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached land in Rajasthan worth Rs 1.66 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), it said in a release dated 22 October 2026. The attachment order, dated 21 October 2026, covers land held by M/s Shri Ganesham Build Developers Pvt Ltd and one of its directors. The ED says the land represents the value of money linked to investment schemes that promised investors fixed monthly returns.

What Happened

According to the ED, its investigation is based on ten FIRs registered and investigated by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police under Sections 420 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. The allegation is that the main accused, through M/s Sampatti Trading & Developers Ltd and M/s Sampatti Developers, persuaded people to put money into investment schemes and land projects by promising assured returns of 2-3% a month.

The ED said returns were paid to some investors at first, but the payments later stopped and several investors did not get their principal back. Its investigation found, the agency said, that funds from entities controlled by the main accused were sent to M/s Shri Ganesham Build Developers Pvt Ltd and its director to buy land in Rajasthan, and that Rs 1.66 crore of what it calls proceeds of crime was held by them.

The ED said that because the original money had already been spent or moved, it attached land of equal value in Village Dhani Gaiskan, Tehsil Virat Nagar, District Jaipur. A provisional attachment stops the owner from selling or transferring the property for now; it must be confirmed by the Adjudicating Authority under the PMLA. Further investigation is in progress.

These are allegations, not findings of guilt; the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court, and due process continues.

What It Means

For investors in these schemes, the attachment is a step to protect the value of the money the ED says is linked to the case while proceedings continue. The release does not say how or when any money may reach investors.
