1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Oquilia website at oquilia.com and its associated services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
2. Disclaimer — Not Financial Advice
Oquilia is an information and educational platform. The content, calculators, comparisons, technology-assisted analysis, insurance scores, and other outputs provided on this Platform do NOT constitute financial, investment, tax, legal, or insurance advice. We are not a SEBI-registered investment advisor, IRDAI-licensed insurance broker, or licensed financial planner.
You should always consult a qualified and licensed financial advisor, chartered accountant, SEBI-registered investment advisor, or IRDAI-licensed insurance advisor before making any financial decisions. Oquilia shall not be held liable for any financial decisions made based on information available on the Platform.
3. Accuracy of Calculators & Tools
Our financial calculators, comparison tools, and analytical features are designed for informational and educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy:
- Calculator results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and standard financial formulas. Actual outcomes may differ due to fees, taxes, market conditions, and other variables.
- Insurance analysis and scores are editorial assessments based on publicly available data (IRDAI annual reports, policy brochures, and claims data). They are not guarantees of insurer performance.
- Tax calculations are based on prevailing Indian tax laws at the time of development and may not reflect the latest amendments or notifications.
- technology-assisted analysis and recommendations are produced by large language models and may contain errors. Always verify critical information independently.
4. User Responsibilities
As a user of the Platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when using calculators and tools, and understand that outputs are only as reliable as the inputs provided.
- Use the Platform for lawful purposes only and refrain from any activity that could harm, disable, or impair the Platform.
- Not scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Platform without express written permission.
- Not attempt to access restricted areas, admin panels, or other users' data.
- Not reproduce, distribute, or republish our content, analysis, or proprietary scores without attribution and written consent.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, calculator designs, scoring methodologies, editorial analysis, software code, and compilations — is the property of Oquilia or its content licensors and is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. The Oquilia name, logo, and “See through the fine print” tagline are our trademarks.
6. Third-Party Links & Content
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, including insurance company websites, government portals, and financial institutions. These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party website.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Oquilia, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, including but not limited to: financial losses from investment or insurance decisions; reliance on calculator outputs or technology-assisted analysis; errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in content; or interruption or unavailability of the Platform.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oquilia, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
9. Modifications to the Platform & Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
