Oquilia Data Audit

Government Data Audit Desk

About the desk

The Oquilia Data Audit desk reads the data that India's ministries, departments and states publish and reports what it shows. Every dataset faces five tests: does it add up, do two official sources agree, is it plausible, was the money spent, and is it published on time. Every figure is calculated twice by separate code, every audit is a dated snapshot with its data published, and corrections are recorded on the audit's page. Findings are about data, never about a person, and the same tests run on every ministry and every state.

How this desk verifies

  • • Published method
  • • Every figure calculated twice
  • • Data published with each audit
