Welspun Living Limited reported a consolidated net profit attributable to its owners of Rs 169.10 crore for the July-September 2026 quarter (Q2 FY27), according to its filing with the National Stock Exchange. That compares with Rs 12.98 crore in the same quarter a year earlier and Rs 160.73 crore in the previous quarter. Revenue from operations rose 16.3% from a year earlier to Rs 2,838.12 crore.

What Happened

The company said in the filing that its board approved the unaudited results for the quarter and half year ended 30 September 2026 at a meeting on 30 October 2026. The figures below are consolidated and in Rs crore, as the filing's table gives them.

Revenue from operations was Rs 2,838.12 crore, up 16.3% from Rs 2,440.91 crore in Q2 of the previous year and up 1.5% from Rs 2,795.45 crore in the quarter ended 30 June 2026.

Net profit for the period was Rs 169.66 crore, of which Rs 169.10 crore is attributable to the owners of the company. The owners' share rose 1,202.8% from Rs 12.98 crore a year earlier and 5.2% from Rs 160.73 crore in the previous quarter.

The company reported an exceptional item of Rs 7.16 crore in the quarter, described in the filing as the impact due to a flood at its Vapi plant. Profit before tax after this item was Rs 225.82 crore. Basic earnings per share after exceptional items were Rs 1.80, against Rs 0.13 a year earlier.

For the half year ended 30 September 2026, revenue from operations was Rs 5,633.57 crore, against Rs 4,701.48 crore in the same period of 2025. Net profit attributable to owners was Rs 329.83 crore, against Rs 100.53 crore.

The filing also says one subsidiary, Welspun Captive Power Generation Limited, ceased to be a subsidiary and became an associate from 31 July 2026.

What It Means

For shareholders, the filing shows a much higher profit than a year earlier, helped by higher revenue and lower finance costs. The filing records finance costs of Rs 33.89 crore in the quarter, against Rs 43.35 crore a year earlier. The very large percentage rise in profit is partly because the base quarter a year earlier was small.

The results are unaudited and have been reviewed by the statutory auditors, as the filing states.
