The plan further covers 336 more looms for the sheeting business, 28 tonnes per day of additional paper capacity, and a 60 MW hybrid renewable energy project made up of 60 MW of wind power and 20 MW of solar power (AC).
What It Means
The filing shows a company whose quarterly profit was higher even though its revenue was lower than a year ago. The figures are the company's own, unaudited and reviewed by its auditors, and the filing does not break down the reasons for the change beyond the tables.
The expansion has been approved only in principle. The filing does not give a timeline or say how it will be funded, so readers should not treat the Rs 4,650 crore figure as money already spent.
