Redington Limited reported consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of Rs 541.32 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 (Q2 FY27), up 39.6% from Rs 387.83 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose 47.7% to Rs 42,946.91 crore, according to the company's filing with the National Stock Exchange.

What Happened

The company's filing with the National Stock Exchange carries unaudited consolidated results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2026. Consolidated figures cover the parent and its subsidiaries.

Revenue from operations was Rs 42,946.91 crore in the quarter. That compares with Rs 29,075.61 crore in the same quarter a year earlier, a rise of 47.7%, and Rs 34,922.47 crore in the quarter ended 30 June 2026, a rise of 23.0%.

Profit attributable to the shareholders of the company was Rs 541.32 crore. That is 39.6% higher than the Rs 387.83 crore of the September 2025 quarter and 11.4% higher than the Rs 485.98 crore of the June 2026 quarter. Basic earnings per share were Rs 6.92, against Rs 4.96 a year earlier and Rs 6.22 in the previous quarter.

Total profit for the quarter, before splitting it between shareholders and non-controlling interests, was Rs 422.51 crore. Non-controlling interests, the minority holders in group companies, accounted for a loss of Rs 118.81 crore in the quarter.

The results include an exceptional item of Rs 80.33 crore. The filing says a wholly owned subsidiary, Redington Gulf FZE, recognised an additional impairment loss on the trade name of its Turkish subsidiary, Arena Bilgisayar Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S., "considering the continued challenging economic environment and updated future projections". The company says the effect on profit attributable to shareholders, after non-controlling interests, is Rs 39.68 crore.

For the half-year ended 30 September 2026, revenue from operations was Rs 77,869.38 crore, against Rs 55,027.60 crore in the first half of the previous year.

The filing also reports two new wholly owned step-down subsidiaries incorporated during the quarter, one in Iraq and one in Kenya. It notes that the company is continuing to assess the evolving situation in the Middle East.

What It Means

These are the company's own unaudited figures, reported as filed. The filing does not say what drove the increase in revenue, so this report does not offer a reason.

The impairment is an accounting charge that reduces reported profit. It does not by itself involve a cash payment, and the filing gives its size and the company's stated reason.
