Godrej Consumer Products Limited reported consolidated net profit of Rs 523 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, 14% higher than a year earlier, according to the company's press release filed with the National Stock Exchange on 29 October 2026. Consolidated sales grew 19% year on year, and the board declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per equity share.

What Happened

The company said consolidated sales growth in the second quarter of 2026-27 came with underlying volume growth of 8%. In constant-currency terms, which remove the effect of exchange-rate changes, consolidated revenue grew 15%. Consolidated EBITDA, or operating profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, including foreign-exchange effects, grew 12%.

In its standalone business, sales grew 13% to Rs 2,631 crore, with underlying volume growth of 7%, and EBITDA grew 8% to Rs 553 crore. Home care sales grew 19% and personal care sales grew 8%.

Abroad, sales in Indonesia grew 20%, with underlying volume growth of 8%, and EBITDA there grew 12%. Sales in the company's Africa, USA and Middle East business grew 40% year on year, and 23% in constant-currency terms, with EBITDA up 43%.

The company said the input cost environment remained significantly challenging during the quarter, with inflation in crude-linked materials, palm oil and other commodity inputs. It said it had taken pricing actions combined with a large cost-saving programme, and would continue to take calibrated pricing actions, specifically in soaps and liquid detergents.

What It Means

For shareholders, the board meeting on 29 October 2026 declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per equity share, and the company informed the exchange that the record date for the dividend is 4 November 2026.

For households, the company's own account of the quarter points to higher prices on some products: it said steep pricing had already been taken in fabric care, with further pricing under way there, and that it would continue calibrated pricing actions in soaps and liquid detergents. The figures above are the company's unaudited results as stated in its press release.
