DOMS Industries reported consolidated profit attributable to its owners of Rs 37.17 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 (Q2 FY27), down 36.2% from Rs 58.27 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose 17.6% to Rs 667.75 crore. The company disclosed the unaudited results in a filing with the National Stock Exchange on 2 November 2026.
What Happened
The company's board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter and six months ended 30 September 2026 on 2 November 2026. The company's table is in Rs lakh; the figures below are consolidated and converted to Rs crore.
Revenue from operations was Rs 667.75 crore, against Rs 567.91 crore in the same quarter last year and Rs 670.51 crore in the quarter ended 30 June 2026. That is a rise of 17.6% year on year and a fall of 0.4% from the previous quarter.
Profit attributable to owners of the company was Rs 37.17 crore, against Rs 58.27 crore a year earlier and Rs 44.49 crore in the previous quarter. That is a fall of 36.2% year on year and 16.5% quarter on quarter. Net profit for the period including non-controlling interests was Rs 38.32 crore. Basic earnings per share were Rs 6.12.
The quarter includes a net exceptional expense of Rs 10.39 crore. According to the company's notes, flooding from exceptionally heavy rainfall hit its warehouse facilities in Gujarat, damaging inventories and some plant and equipment, and a loss of Rs 12.12 crore was shown under exceptional items. The company also recognised an insurance recovery of Rs 1.74 crore on two vehicles. It said it has filed insurance claims for the warehouse losses and expects a substantial portion to be recoverable, but has not booked any recovery for them yet because the claims are still being assessed.
For the six months, consolidated revenue from operations was Rs 1,338.26 crore against Rs 1,130.19 crore a year earlier, and profit attributable to owners was Rs 81.65 crore against Rs 115.55 crore.
The notes add that the company completed the acquisition of the Reynolds brand's pen, marker and school-supplies business on 1 July 2026, for Rs 35 crore plus Rs 17.81 crore for inventories.
What It Means
Sales grew strongly from a year earlier, but profit fell. The filing shows costs rising faster than revenue, with materials costs, employee costs and the exceptional flood loss all higher than a year ago. If insurers settle the warehouse claims, the notes say the recoveries would be recognised in later results.
